Warning: Trip Advisor censors messages on its forum that inform travelers about crime. Messages notifying others about this website were removed on July 29, 2006.

Trip Advisor is a threaded discussion website where travelors can post advice to others and rate their experience about traveling to a particular place. On the forum, people ask for recommendations from others. One caveat is that Trip Advisor reserves the right to remove any post that does not meet their posting guidelines. They recommend that postings be "family friendly." Saying things like robbery and rape could cause a message to be censored.

On July 29, 2006 messages were posted to Trip Advisor under several threads to notify people on the forum about this website. About 2 hours later the postings were removed by Trip Advisor.
